Welcome to the melanomaWA website, which was created to provide information on sun and skin safety to the people of Western Australia and abroad. The other key focus is to provide information and support to those who hace been diagnosed with Melanoma, as well as their own support networks, family and friends.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Perth March for Melanoma 2012 – SAVE THE DATE NOW!

Date: Sunday 11th March

Time: 8 – 10.30am

Venue: McCallum Park, Southern Foreshore on the Swan River

The Perth March for Melanoma is the premier skin and sun awareness event in Western Australia and is the opportunity for individuals, friends and families to come together and become well educated in skin and sun safety.

The March consists of a walk up to 10km so that people of all health and fitness ranges can walk together.

There will also be a 10km run for those competitively minded for the inaugural Aaron Thomson Trophy for the first across the line.

There will be music, entertainment, food/drink, skin education area and a skin screening service on site for those that would like to get their skin checked.

2011 melanomaWA Ball

The 2011 Bupa/melanomaWA Ball, held on Saturday 12th November was an amazing success.

Thanks to all who came along and united for awareness and support of Melanoma in Western Australia.

We will be able to tell you very shortly how much was raised for melanomaWA from the night, and considering we were putting on the Ball with the intention to cover costs the generosity of everyone there has ensured we will be back bigger and better! So we look forward to seeing you again next year at the 2012 melanomaWA Ball!
